Hooping for Hope – 3 on 3 Charity Tournament

A non-profit collaboration between

HoopHQ / Team Empower & Team Only Stronger

This special event is a complimentary entry tournament for our current and long-time members.

All jerseys will be provided by Team Empower, and any sponsorships or donations collected during this event will go directly toward supporting our non-profit programs.

100% of donations will be used to help Team Empower & Team Only Stronger provide scholarships, program funding, and opportunities for victims or disadvantage students.

This event is about community, giving back, and representing the programs that we have all helped build together.

Your participation, your support, and your willingness to compete while representing our programs truly means a lot to us.

Time: 9 AM start time

3x3 Basketball — Olympic Rules 

Court & Teams:

• Half-court, one basket. 3 players + 1 substitute per team.

Game Duration & Winning:

• 10 minute running clock.

• First team to 21 points wins immediately.

• If tied after 10 minutes → Overtime (first to score 2 points wins).

Scoring:

• Inside arc = 1 point.

• Beyond arc = 2 points.

• Free throw = 1 point.

Possession & Restart:

• After a made basket: opponent starts at top inside the arc (clear & go).

• After a defensive rebound/steal: team must clear the ball beyond the arc before scoring.

• 12-second shot clock.

Fouls:

• Team fouls are cumulative.

• Team foul 7–9 → 2 free throws.

• Team foul 10+ → 2 free throws + possession.

• No individual foul limit for game fouls (players can be disqualified for unsporting fouls).

Tip:

• Keep the ball past the arc after changes of possession. Move fast — 12-second shot clock!
